Welcome to the ‘Luxembourg Artists for Haiti’ homepage
As the dramatic pictures of the devastating earthquake in Haiti were shown on Television all around the world, and inspired by the world-wide effort to help, a few artists from Luxembourg had the same idea at almost the same moment: Steven Pitman (singer) made the first step by calling David Goldrake (illusionist) and Tascha (singer) and they all agreed to organize an event for the people of Haiti.
So, on the 1st of February 2010 ‘Luxembourg Artists for Haiti’ was born. What initially started out as a small idea has now become a huge 3 day event including many artists (including various art forms), organisations and also restaurants and bars all over the country.
We are currently in the process of putting together a WEEKEND EVENT which will take place on the 19th, 20th & 21st of March 2010. This “Benefit for Earthquake Relief” shall feature performances by many artists from the Luxembourg region.
We will host the following events:
- 19th of March – ‘Luxembourg Bars & Restaurants for Haiti’ (see details)
- 20th of March – ‘Luxembourg DJ’s for Haiti’ (see details) @ LUXEXPO
- 21st of March – ‘Luxembourg Artists for Haiti’ (see details) @ LUXEXPO
All proceeds & donations will go directly to Caritas Luxembourg.
PLEASE HELP us NOW to create a giant common interest group in Luxembourg. This will not only help promote the upcoming events but ultimately serve as the basis for making it a success and gathering as much money as we possibly can for the desperate people of Haiti. Together we can make a huge difference, and it is our sincere hope that ‘Luxembourg Artists for Haiti’ will turn into ‘Luxembourg Citizens for Haiti’.
The willingness to ‘GIVE WITHOUT TAKING‘ has really been overwhelming! To everyone that has offered us their help and support so far and to all of those who will attend the events on the 19th, 20th & 21st of March we say THANK YOU! from the bottom of our hearts.
